Honoring Ancient Traditions: The "Toltec Wisdom" Book Series
Toltec Wisdom series of books by Don Miguel Ruiz
We believe in rescuing and honoring our Indigenous Native American roots. As a Mexican national, Marisa attended the National School of Anthropology and History in Mexico City at the age of 17, where she was floored when first exposed to Indigenous knowledge, including Toltec philosophy. Soon after, Marisa discovered Don Miguel Ruiz’ The Four Agreements’ book; the first of the Toltec Wisdom series. Featured by Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres, Don Miguel Ruiz’ book is a gift to humanity by simplifying complex Indigenous thought into practical steps for daily life and workplace dynamics that can rapidly transform our days into a new experience of freedom, true happiness, and love.
Utilizing The Four Agreements in customized team training for customer service, communication skills, and even integrating with Strengths, the Toltec Wisdom books have enabled Intercultural Talent to successfully integrate Indigenous ancient knowledge into the digital-era workplace. We empower global diverse teams with a combination of modern research-based tools and ancient knowledge, inclusive of diverse regions of the world.
Examples of Toltec Wisdom Workshops:
The Four Agreements for the Workplace
Customer Service with The Four Agreements
Strengths with the Four Agreements.
Other Toltec Wisdom Books besides The Four Agreements:
The Mastery of Love - A Practical Guide to the Art of Relationships
The Fifth Agreement - A Practical Guide to Self-Mastery
The Voice of Knowledge - A Practical Guide to Inner Peace
The Actor - How to Live an Authentic Life
Grief and Renewal - Finding Beauty and Balance in Loss
By blending the timeless wisdom of the Toltec tradition with our modern talent development strategies, we offer a unique and impactful path to profound personal and professional transformation.

The NVC Process: A Roadmap to Connection
Non-Violent Communication (NVC) by Marshall Rosenberg
At Intercultural Talent, we believe in the power of conscious communication to build bridges and strengthen connections.
We're thrilled to introduce a new offering: Nonviolent Communication (NVC), co-facilitated by our NVC Consultant, Lesya Krasnikova, and Founder Marisa Ortiz.
Just as the CliftonStrengths framework provides a language for understanding your unique talents, NVC offers a language for connecting with what's alive in ourselves and others.
This powerful process, developed by Marshall Rosenberg, helps us move beyond judgment and blame to a place of empathy, understanding, and heartfelt connection.
The core of NVC is a simple, four-step process that allows us to communicate authentically and listen with empathy:
Observation
Feelings
Needs
Requests
NVC is not just a soft skill; it is a strategic framework for inspiring compassionate connection and action, even in high-stakes environments. It provides a structured process for addressing the root causes of conflict. By moving beyond judgment and blame, it empowers individuals to focus on empathy and understanding. When integrated into your team's culture, this framework transforms how people communicate, collaborate, and navigate disagreements.
By integrating the NVC framework, Intercultural Talent hopes to help organizations and teams move from a culture of conflict avoidance to one of honest expression, mutual contribution, and genuine intercultural understanding. This leads to stronger teams, more effective problem-solving, and a more inclusive work environment. Reach out for more on NVC for your team or organization.
